Notification Settings for Google Docs & Sheets

You can set notifications 


To change comment notifications for a specific document in Google Docs:

  • open the document
  • click the text bubble icon on the top-right:click the bell icon in the next menu: 
  • click the bell icon in the Comments dialog box:
  • here you can set notifications according to your preferences.  

Important Notes:

  • The Comments dialog box looks different in Docs vs. Sheets, but still functions the same way.

  • This setting change is specific to the individual file you are working on and will not affect other documents.

  • You generally need to be on a computer to access these settings; this feature is often not available on mobile devices
