Flipping through open tabs on it's own
When clicking on the first tab in a group of tabs, it starts scrolling through the open tabs uncontrollably.
Things to try:
1. Clean Your Keyboard:
- Turn your keyboard upside down and shake it to get the loose stuff out. If you see any debris stuck in the keyboard, you can use tweezers to remove it, or pop the key off to get to it. You can just pop the key right back on
- If you have canned air, you can use that in addition
- Do NOT use anything wet to clean the keyboard. This will render it useless.
- You can use a DAMP cloth to wipe it down.
If that doesn't work:
2. Try plugging in a different keyboard:
If that does the trick, you can submit a request for a replacement keyboard on the Office Supplies Request Spreadsheet.
Please remember, it's PedsOne policy that your keyboard is wired. If you have plugged in a wireless keyboard troubleshoot, it's fine to use that keyboard until you receive a new, wired keyboard, but please do not use it on a permanent basis.
If that doesn't work:
3. Check your mouse:
- change the battery
- clean the light sensor on the bottom of the mouse
- clean the scroll wheel and buttons on the mouse.
- Sometimes dirt builds up which affects the performance of the mouse
If you have tried all steps above and you are still having issues, please reply to the ticket for escalation.
